Open-concept living
Bright, warm, relaxed, and made for gathering.
A real-time homecoming story
Follow my honest journey toward a whimsical Cape Cod filled with cottage charm, books, warmth, and meaning.
Begin the journeyI am not an interior designer, architect, or building expert. I am a book lover and first-time home planner learning in real time—and inviting other dreamers to learn, imagine, and begin again with me.
My story
Seven years ago, my husband and I purchased a beautiful four-bedroom home with mountain views, a bright and airy interior, a large backyard, and more potential than I initially understood.
Over the years, I made it my own. I installed hardwood flooring, remodeled the kitchen, painted, completed plumbing projects, and landscaped the backyard. I loved that house with all my heart.
But life changed. The relationship, rising costs, maintenance, and the responsibility of a large home became overwhelming. Selling it felt like letting go of far more than a building—it felt like losing the future I had imagined inside it.
Instead of rushing into another purchase, I moved into an apartment and gave myself permission to pause. Now I am thoughtfully imagining what comes next: a softer, smaller, more meaningful home that reflects who I am today.
Home is not only the place you lost or left behind. It can be imagined again, created again, and slowly made your own.
The vision
Warm white shiplap, soft florals, weathered wood, book-lined walls, cozy corners, glowing lamps, and just enough magic.
Bright, warm, relaxed, and made for gathering.
A place to work, read, create, and disappear into a good story.
Soft textures, floral details, and a peaceful retreat from the world.
Flowers, twinkle lights, water, and room to breathe.
